Our Restaurant
Our Menu
We have the perfect serving for every appetite! For those who are very hungry we have our famous family style meals. We also offer a smaller plated version of each family style entrée. In addition to those choices we offer breakfast, appetizers, soups, salads, sandwiches, and desserts.
Our Lounge
We have a full bar located on the east side of our restaurant with local Millstream Brewery and German beers on tap. We have domestic and craft beers in bottles. We have Amana fruit wines from Ackerman Winery, along with traditional grape wine varieties on hand. Liquor and mixed drinks are also available.
Special Groups
We have room for a parties big or small! For groups we offer a special family style menu for a party over 12 guests.
We also have a private room for rental and dining called the "Beer Garden" (pictured) located on the second floor of the restaurant. Please give us a call if you are interested in reserving it.

Virtual Tour of The Ronneburg Restaurant
Each one of our five dining room has a home-like feel, but at the same time differing from one another. We have many paintings and drawings by local artists in each room, along with photographs almost a hundred years old that show what Amana was like several decades ago.
Our History
The Ronneburg Castle
The name "Ronneburg" comes from the medieval fortress in Hesse, Germany (pictured above) bearing the same name, which sheltered the Amana ancestors during their religious persecution over 200 years ago. The building which is currently the Ronneburg Restaurant was a communal kitchen for the colony for many years until it first opened as a restaurant in 1950. The restaurant had been owned and operated by the Oehler family for a majority of its time as a restaurant. It is under current ownership by Doug Cox and Liz Busch.
